Brilliant Entrepreneurship Boot Camp 2017

The Brilliant Entrepreneurship Boot Camp is a three-day event where UOIT students from any faculty and year of study will be able to learn how to take their technology based start up idea from ideation to customer validation to pitching to investors. Participants will be supported by experienced advisors and tools to develop, validate and pitch their startup idea to a panel of expert judges.

With the support of experienced advisors and catalyst tools, students will have the opportunity to turn their ideas into reality and become company founders.

Top 2 companies  will have the chance to win $3,000 in cash prizes as well as fast-track entrance to the Brilliant Incubator.

+ Is this event for me?

If you are curious about entrepreneurship then yes it is! Whether you are already an entrepreneur or new to the world of startups, this event will expose you to the process of developing an idea into an actual business!

+ Do I need to a have a business background?

No, you do not need a business background. The boot camp is open to students of all faculties.

+ Do I have to participate in all days?

Yes, it is mandatory to participate during all days to be eligible for the prize.

+ Who can participate?

This event is open to all students (undergraduate and graduate) from UOIT. Companies must have at least one founder that is a UOIT student.

+ Do I need a team?

No, you do not need to have a team although it is preferred to have a pre-existing team.

+ Do I need an idea to attend?

No, you do not need an idea to participate. If you do not have one in mind an idea will be provided to you and your team.

+ What kind of ideas can I pitch?

Ideas pitched must be technology oriented. Although different business models are eligible (profit, social, etc), all ideas must be tech related.

+ What should I bring?

  • Laptop
  • Power Cord
  • Notebook (Optional...nothing like old school!)
  • Lots of creative energy!
